Water Treatment Equipment Installation, Repair and Maintenance Service
Unlike many suppliers, HydroChem has its own team of skilled installation, repair, and maintenance engineers operating throughout the UK.
The continued reliability of your equipment can be ensured by the professional installation and planned through life support maintenance contract for that equipment. This may be monthly quarterly annual or bi-annual servicing depending on the needs of the client or plant. This enables the system to be efficient in identifying the requirement before problems arise and for routine replacement spares to be supplied.
Through life support as it implies keeps on top of the equipment for all its working life and all existing plant may be adapted to this service as an upgrade. UV Disinfection Systems for Water
UV systems are a truly non-chemical way to disinfect water and is the ideal process to kill harmful pathogens at the point of use such as taps and faucets or to control microbial growth in recirculating water systems. Usually coupled with a water filter to stop suspended solids and colour affecting the UV radiated light, the units usually run continuously for up to one year before a lamp/bulb change is required.
From small domestic to large industrial and commercial units HydroChem Group can advise and design a scheme to suit. Installation, servicing, and the supply of the UV bulbs for any manufacturer is available and our engineers are available to meet the service requirements for any model.

Hydrocyclones
A hydrocyclone separator is an ideal solution to remove suspended solids from recirculating water in processes.
Using centrifugal action of the water flow through the unit heavier than water solids are removed and collected in a dirt bowl for disposal. Ideal for inline cleaning of heating and chiller circuits.
It’s especially useful in the operation of cooling towers and cooling systems and as a side stream filter, it improves the efficiency and flows which increases the performance of a water system saving costs and downtime with blockages and keeping the tower pond basin cleaner.
Reverse Osmosis Systems
A Reverse Osmosis or (RO) system produces near-demineralised or deionised water quality. RO removes between 95-98% of the (TDS) total dissolved solids or minerals from the feedwater. This water is classed as pure.
This dramatically reduces the problems with scale and deposition for example in boiler waters reducing blowdown, saving energy, and running costs along with other critical processes.
Used in conjunction with a de-ioniser RO water is ideal for pharmaceutical production, micro-electronics, and any application where mineral-free water is required for process washing of fine chemicals.

Water Softeners
Our cost-effective range of reliable, efficient industrial, commercial, and domestic water softeners overcome the problems of hard water and troublesome limescale that affects all water supplies.
From a small domestic cabinet softener of 8-litre capacity to a stand-alone simplex or duplex unit of up to 750 litres and above, size and flow is available to suit your requirements. Demineralisers and De-ionisers
The mineral content of waters can be removed by ion exchange resins which are utilised to remove these minerals or demineralise which leaves the water near to pure.
De-ionisers are employed to purify water for many uses in industry and pharmaceutical manufacturing of products. The smaller units usually use a mixed bed disposable cation/anion resin mix and can be used in laboratories and for producing battery top-up waters. Other uses are for window and glass washing, filling cooling systems where a low TDS or chlorine, salt-free water is required.
Used with reverse osmosis and as a RO/DI scheme, it is a low cost environmentally safe way to produce upwards of thousands of litres of pure water.
